Sorry for the hiatus. I'm 10 weeks pregnant and for the last few weeks I've had a lot of nausea and fatigue (and a 20 month-old) that kept me from doing much of anything! I haven't even been to a drug store in 3 weeks! I'm sure my rewards have all expired. Thankfully, though, the nausea has subsided in the last few days and I'm starting to get my energy back, so I'm back in business. It looks like it's a good week for starting over. There are lots of freebies and a few money-makers. <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqmb5AEt0ipfdENVd1FLNHFVeFRtSV9Vb1BYMmtjUFE&hl=en_US">Here's the spreadsheet</a> so you can check it out for yourself!Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-17987447014858561032011-08-21T19:08:00.000-04:002011-08-21T19:09:35.405-04:00Post-ponedSorry - I've had a long week and a busy weekend. However, there's a pretty good deal on the new Huggies slip-on diapers at CVS this week. I'm interested in trying these and $3.99 isn't too bad for a jumbo pack. The list still feels a little short, but I may catch a few more things tomorrow. Also, I'm still working on a list for school supplies - hopefully that will be up tomorrow afternoon. You can get ANY baby carrier, nursing cover or set of breast pads for just the cost of shipping with the promo code "Breastfeeding". I already have 2 nursing covers (including the one pictured here) from UdderCovers and I LOVE them! Shipping is a little pricey (around $12 for a nursing cover), but considering you're getting the cover free, I think it's worth it. These make great baby shower gifts! UdderCovers also offers a set with the nursing cover, breast pads and rubber bracelet to track feedings. In the past, you've been able to apply the code to the sets as well and you just pay the difference between the cost of the set and the cover alone (about $5) and shipping. These are definitely some of the cutest covers out there! I think I'm going to get another one for myself!Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-45536572201693164592011-07-26T12:55:00.002-04:002011-07-26T13:08:13.319-04:00More Cheap School Supplies!!<b><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">Here are a few more good deals I've found for</span> <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-weight: normal;">those bookbags. My old church has done this for several years. There is really a need and the kids are very appreciative! The last 2 or 3 years I have been able to fill several backpacks for next to nothing thanks to the great back-to-school deals at various office supply stores, drug stores, and big box stores. Over the next few weeks I'm going to be posting a list of free or really cheap items that you can get to fill your own backpack. This week is a great week to start. Here's what I've found:<div><br /></div><div>CVS:</div><div>Papermate Pens 8pk - $1.99, get $1.99 ECBs = FREE</div><div><br /></div><div>Staples: (Sun - Wed. only)</div><div>8pk of #2 pencils - $0.01 (limit 2*)</div><div>100pk 3"x5" index cards - $0.01 (limit 2*)</div><div>Sharpie Accent Highlighters 2pk - $0.01 with $5 purchase (limit 2)</div><div><br /></div><div>*Staples extreme deals limit is 25 for teachers</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>In addition to these deals, Staples is offering 50% back in Staples rewards on backpack purchases. In the past, they have offered them free after rebate, but I think it's just going to be 50% this year. Hopefully these items will get you started. There will be many more deals in the weeks to come!!!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-45717351569919016552011-07-23T23:03:00.002-04:002011-07-23T23:06:50.311-04:00Weekly Deals for July 24 - 30It's a little late, but I'm getting my post in before Sunday. There are some hot deals at CVS this week and a few at Walgreens. Not much going on at Rite Aid unless you're in need of food products! Now is a good time to check and make sure you don't have any plus up rewards that are getting ready to expire, though. With 2 weeks of so-so deals, this is the time when rebates tend to expire. If you have some getting ready to go out, don't feel badly if you can't spend them on a great deal. Buy something you need like toilet paper or laundry detergent. It's better to use them on something you need than to let them go to waste!! There are only a few deals at each store this week, but some may be worth the trip, especially the Pepsi deal at CVS. I'd also check out Walgreen's and Staples - they're running some great deals on school supplies. <a href="https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqmb5AEt0ipfdGJPWUxiUUZoNE9adGpJTkgteld1a0E&hl=en_US">Here's the spreadsheet.</a>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-42685703679262530822011-07-10T13:54:00.002-04:002011-07-10T14:04:26.834-04:00Woo-hoo! Cheap Toilet Paper!I forgot to put a great deal on Cottonelle toilet paper on the spreadsheet (I'll be adding it momentarily), but now I'm glad I did. At Walgreens from 7/8 until 7/31 you can earn $3.50 RR when you buy 2 or $4.50 RR when you buy 3 Cottonelle 12 roll packs of toilet paper. These packs run $5 at Walgreens. PLUS, there is a coupon available<a href="http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=xg&tqnm=qj1tdcw41685089&o=55011&c=KC&p=cRdOCWhv"> here </a>that will take another $0.50 off! Print two of these coupons and use them to buy 2 12 packs of Cottonelle and you'll get them for $2.75 each after RR! <div><br /></div><div>There's a problem, however. Cottonelle apparently changed their packaging and the newer packages have a different UPC that was accidentally left out of the deal! My guess is that the company will fix the error, but in the meantime, here's what you can do:</div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">1 - Go ahead and get the Cottonelle, but look for the package with the UPC</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"> </span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); line-height: 20px; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:medium;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;">0 36000 13396 7. This one is working!</span></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;">2 - If you can't find the right UPC, check out anyway and if the RR doesn't print, call the Catalina company (the one that makes the coupon printer thingy). Their number is 1-888-8COUPON. They are aware of the problem and can help you get your RR.</span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;">3 - You could just wait a few days and see if the problem is resolved. </span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;"><br /></span></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#333333;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style=" line-height: 20px;font-size:medium;">I'm going out this afternoon and I'll let you know what I find!</span></span></div>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-751103613472052202011-07-09T17:39:00.002-04:002011-07-09T17:43:08.789-04:00Weekly Deals for July 10 - 16I was very disappointed yesterday when I did my spreadsheet for CVS, but that all changed when I checked out the deals at Walgreens! It's the place to be this week. There are also several good deals on things for moms with little babies. How about FREE teething gel?! Man, that stuff was never on sale when I really needed it!! Also, there's a great deal on EOS, but no coupons. However, I found out that there is a coupon inside some packages of Bic Soleil razors, which are on sale this week at CVS! So, buy the razors first and check to see if you got the coupon before heading over to Walgreens for the shave gel. Have fun! Oh, and <a href="https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aqmb5AEt0ipfdF83d3h4dmNRLVVYT1RUZFhfU3ByVUE&hl=en_US">HERE is the spreadsheet!</a>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-89230799467781908862011-07-02T10:29:00.002-04:002011-07-03T21:45:14.012-04:00Weekly Deals for July 3 - 9There are a bunch of freebies this week, especially at CVS and Rite Aid. I know a lot of moms buy their diapers at Sam's Club because the regular price is much cheaper when you buy in bulk. So, here's a great deal for you. Buy any Huggies diapers and wipes, Huggies diapers and Enfamil formula, or Enfamil formula and Huggies wipes at Sam's Club between July 5 - 18 and you'll get a $10 gift card to Sam's Club. There is no form to fill out. I believe the transaction is tracked through your card and the gift card is sent automatically. <a href="http://p.p0.com/YesConnect/HtmlMessagePreview?a=JCRGgeuAXUnUT4GpC6Dqlw&msgVersion=web">Here's a link with details.</a>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-46313428006291017232011-06-28T17:03:00.002-04:002011-06-28T17:04:03.910-04:00Free Pantene! If you hurry, you can get a coupon for a FREE full-sized bottle of Pantene! There's a sale on Hawaiian Tropic items - buy 2 and get $10 in ECBs. The lip balms appear to be working for this deal so you can buy 2 lip balms for $2.99 each, pay $5.98 plus tax ($6.46) and get back $10!! Nice!Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-38293816417849527002011-06-20T13:05:00.002-04:002011-06-20T13:19:21.254-04:00KMart Super DoublesApparently it's super doubles week!! Kmart is doing super doubles, too all this week. I checked the list and it looks like the Greenville store is participating. In the past they've doubled coupons up to $2, but it looks like it's just $0.99 now. Stop by the store if you're interested. I have had a couple of terrible experiences with the Greenville store and have sworn off shopping there, but if you find any good deals, please leave a comment! <a href="http://www.commonsensewithmoney.com/2011/06/kmart-double-coupon-deals/">Here's a match-up</a> to get you started.Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-62969458309242934452011-06-20T09:03:00.004-04:002011-06-20T09:12:51.826-04:00Super Doubles!!Harris Teeter will be having a super doubles sale starting this Wednesday (June 22nd)! This means they will be doubling coupons up to $1.98 (instead of the usual ($0.99). Of course this will mean a lot of freebies and really cheap stuff! So go ahead and start pulling your coupons. <a href="http://www.southernsavers.com/2011/06/harris-teeter-super-double-coupons-sneak-peak-622-628/">Here's a preliminary list</a> to get you started and a few tips/things to keep in mind:<div><br /></div><div><ul><li>HT will only double up to 20 coupons per VIC card per day</li><li>look for freebie items first</li><li>look for coupons for items you use regularly</li><li>most of the $1+ coupons are for cleaning and health and beauty items</li><li>avoid buying something that is free/cheap that you wouldn't normally get - you're still spending money on it (even if it's just tax)</li><li>get to the store early on in the sale</li><li>expect them to be out of some of things you're looking for, so plan for more than 20 coupons</li><li>HAVE FUN!!</li></ul><div>As we get closer to the sale, there will be more coupon match-ups, so check back here again or at the Southern Savers site. Also, if you are looking for coupons to a specific item that isn't listed on the match-up yet, try searching on a coupon database. I like <a href="http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/coupon.php">Hot Coupon World's database.</a> Now is a great time to get items that don't go on sale very often.</div></div>Melanie Khttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14218075786467197003noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7521622147658272596.post-44223663119995089942011-06-18T19:41:00.001-04:002011-06-18T19:42:32.425-04:00Weekly Deals Week of June 19 - 25It's another good week of deals, with freebies at all 3 stores.
